Central nervous system melioidosis is a rare but severe manifestation of Burkholderia pseudomallei infection. We present a case of a 74-year-old man with type 2 diabetes mellitus who developed fever, headache, and progressive neurological deficits. Imaging revealed a right frontoparietal brain abscess, scalp collection, and osteomyelitis. B. pseudomallei was isolated from the blood and tissue cultures. Despite surgical drainage and intravenous meropenem, the patient succumbed to nosocomial complications. Kulcsszavak: melioidosis, Burkholderia pseudomallei, brain abscess, scalp abscess
