Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is a type of necrotizing vasculitis affecting small to medium-sized blood vessels, usually accompanied by asthma, rhinosinusitis and peripheral hypereosinophilia. Childhood-onset is rare and usually has a poorer prognosis. The most important clinical manifestations include, in addition to respiratory symptoms, ear-nose complaints: sinusitis, nasal polyposis, serous otitis media, mild or moderate hearing loss. Through the case of a now 19-year-old boy presented beloq we would like to illustrate the symptoms and signs that may alert an ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist to the possibility of EGPA syndrome in childhood and the challenges it poses from a therapeutic point of view.
