Aim: To present the life and professional legacy of Pál Heim. Method: Review of contemporary original publications. Result: After completing his medical studies, Heim gained pediatric experience in several institutions across multiple countries. His first pediatric position was at the Budapest hospital of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God. In 1907 he qualified as a private teacher in the semiotics of childhood diseases. His academic career began in Bratislava and continued in Budapest, Pécs, and finally once again in Budapest. Beyond clinical work, he made significant contributions to the specialized education of nurses and midwives. Conclusion: Pál Heim played a pioneering role in the development of modern Hungarian pediatrics and founded the first Hungarian child-care training program.
