This review discusses the most comm0n clinical applications of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in pediatric practice' CEUS has become a well-established adjunctive ulirasound modality for several pediatric conditions' lts use can shorten the time to diagnosis and may also obviate the need forfurther imaging studies (CT, MR). The advantages of CEUS in pediatric oncology, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology and surgery are well documented in the literature' we briefly discuss the methodology, the main advantagei, and the limitations of contrast-enhanced ultrasound. CEUS has proven to be a safe modality with minimal risk to the patient in experienced hands. The main goal of this article is to encourage clinicians to integrate CEUS into their daily practice.
