Hypospadias is a congenital abnormality of the urethra. The outer orifice of the urethra is on the volar side of the penis proximally from the tip of the glans. It occurs in 1 of every 300 male birth (FRANK -GEARHART - SNYDER 2002:151). The description of hypospadias and its repair was begun in the first century, yet in 70% of cases its aetiology is unknown to this day ( (SÁGODI - KISS - KISS-TÓTH - BARKAI 2014:1097). Its treatment was important early because the anomaly not only alters voiding but can also inhibit procreation.More than 300 types of surgical techniques have been developed throughout history, most of them during the twentieth century (SMITH 1997:81). Even today in cases of varying severity, individual consideration and the experience of the surgeon effect the choice of using the different surgical techniques.
